The fun does not stop at the ocean’s edge! Costa Rica’s province of Guanacaste is full of adventure. We are happy to arrange for you any land tours.
The following list is only a sample of what is available:
> Active Volcanoes - Within a 90 minute drive we have both the Rincoln de la Vieja and Miravalles Volcanoes. Both are active volcanoes complete with boiling mud pools, thermal springs, hiking trails, and waterfalls. Tours on horseback and tractor are available.
> River Rafting - Costa Rica’s Colorado River offers a half day of fun along its windy rapids. Enjoy a look at wilderness from a new point of view as you pass through high canyon walls laced with rocky rapids and small waterfalls.
> Canopy Tours - Perhaps the area’s most sought after excursion, the canopy tour is a high adrenaline swing through the trees on a zipline made just for you!
> Palo Verde National Park - A calm and beautiful ride down the Tempsique River that allows you to see crocodiles, monkeys, numerous bird species, strange insects and more. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars!
> Surfing - For both beginners and experienced surfers, the area is full of great beaches to catch some waves. All within an hour’s drive you can find Tamarindo, Playa Grande, Avellanas, and others. To surf at the world-famous Witch’s Rock and Ollie’s Point you are only a quick hour’s boat ride away.
> Fishing - Try your luck in the world-renowned Gulf of Papagayo! We work with the best captains in the area, and they can take you directly where the action is.
> Horseback Riding and ATV Tour - Rent a horse or an ATV for the day to explore nearby beaches, small rural towns, and rocky trails through the woods.
